“Can you use the refrigerator ice and cold water on this model without the water filter since we already have a reverse osmosis filter on the water prior to it going into the refrigerator?”

The filter must be installed to have the water input work. I believe the filter will last a long time I’d supplied with filtered water through the supply line.
