“How do I remove the ice maker to defrost? The ice partly melted and then refroze so is now one big block. Turned it off. Can't seem to remove it though.”

Depends on where and what is frozen to what. Ours did initially due to my own error and I was able to remove the storage tray then melt and clear out the semi-frozen ice mass. If yours is partly frozen to the actual ice tray in the ice maker, you might speed things with a hair dryer?
