No it is not.. it slides in and out very easily

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's not hard to pull open..I'd say that it's about right...you don't want it pulling out or opening too easily. Conversely though, it doesn't just glide back to close...you do have to be mindful of making sure all of the doors close. My previous french door refrigerator had a bell that would chime if any of the doors were left open more than about 30 seconds.....I do miss that, but have already retrained myself to double check the doors each time I close them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is not any more difficult to pull out then any bottom drawer freezer. The space in this refrigerator is phenomenal. That second drawer for the refrigerator is a great feature.
