Yes, it does. I bought it and then returned it. Just got a new one today. Still making noise. Will return and get a different one

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is very loud. I’m guessing it’s not that way across the board, but the one we have is so loud that we are considering returning it. I’d say it’s 45-50 decibels, since I hear it WAY more than our 44 decibel dishwasher. It does vary though, usually a medium hum, but quite loud during certain parts of the defrost cycle maybe?

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a quiet refrigerator. I never think about it when I'm in the kitchen because it is so quiet. I just went downstairs and stood in front of it, and it does make a very soft purr, but you have to be close to it to hear that.

I live in a one room in-law suite and the refrigerator is 3 ft away from my sofa and fold out bed and 4 ft from my TV. I never hear it running. Occasionally I hear the ice drop in the bin and even that is only slightly noticeable if the room is quiet. I would not hesitate to buy it again. I love the convenience of the drawer in the center for cold drinks and Jello cups, etc.

Please try again later.My new refrigerator made noise for two days - it sounded like the fan was constantly running, it never stopped unless the refrigerator doors were opened. Drove me crazy because it was constant white noise. I actually considered returning it. Then magically on day three, the noise stopped. It's perfectly quiet, I assume the fans needed to balance or something.
