A:AnswerHello Jim! A flow meter measures the amount of water that enters the dishwasher to ensure correct water volume. If water is detected when it should not be present, the control activates an error to inform the consumer and activates the drain motor to drain away any water until the water ceases to flow or the consumer interacts with the product. Water will overflow the front of the dishwasher tub lip and will enter the funnels. These funnels will direct water into the drip tray.
This sends a signal to the control to remove power to the fill valve, and it will cause the front light to flash.
A:AnswerIt has a sensor that will shut it off and signal an error. Knowing what the code is and how to clear it is not hard but may drive you a little nuts when figuring it out (as it did me).
A:AnswerThe washer has heat dry and extended dry cycles. Heat dry can be turned on to use the element to dry the dishes and extended dry runs the cycle longer. The instruction says specifically to move plastic wear to the upper racks when using either cycle.
To turn the heat dry off you need to continually press the dry button till both lights are off over the heat and extended inticators.
A:AnswerI didn’t realize it, but these two rows have the tines the right distance to hold these wine glasses securely upright. And there is enough height. I can’t say if other wine glasses fit this way.
A:AnswerThe controls are on the top edge of the door. Open the door a little and you can see them and scroll through the settings. Once you select the setting you want, press start and an LED display tells you to close the door within how many seconds. It's pretty intuitive once you get used to it. There is an LED on the front top right of the door that changes color to tell you when it is washing, drying and done.

A:AnswerHello, Regular Black has a glossy finish, The black stainless product is a black-finished stainless steel. We hope this helps. Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.
A:AnswerHEAVY, NORMAL OR QUICK are your choices. I wish I never go this thing. The top plastic black "label" to make washing choices came off within 2 weeks! These types of parts are Never Under Warranty. My Normal Wash with Dry takes 3 1/2 hours! Don't get me started on the third rack, which is useless.

A:AnswerYes, the third rack is great. We liked this dishwasher but it only worked for a little over 4 months and Whirlpool has not been responsive in a timely manner. I would not recommend any whirlpool product because of the customer service that I’ve received. I bought this dishwasher in June of last year, and it quit working after 4+ months. It is now February 8 and I still do not have a working appliance.

A:AnswerHello, JimdNH Your dishwasher is designed to use rinse aid for improved drying performance. Rinse aid improves drying and reduces water spots and filming. Water "sheets" off dishes rather than forming water droplets that cling and leave spots. Rinse Aid can also help your dishwasher retain less moisture on the interior walls and door. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else.
A:AnswerHello EddieC. The extended heat dry can only be used with the sensor, heavy, and normal cycles. Please visit https://bit.ly/3Mv0gmA and refer to page 1 for more information. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
