Not an issue. Kind of nice not seeing the display. Makes the lines in the kitchen look better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, we've had the "hidden" controls on our Whirlpool dishwasher for 12 years now. The upside is cleaner lines but the downside is it's VERY easy to accidently open the washer while it's running as you can't tell - i.e. if my wife recently started it, I often open it to put something dirty into it as I cannot tell it is running. I'm told some of the newer units have a light on the front to let you know it's running but I do not see that in this description. We will not get hidden controls again without some form of running indicator light on the front.
