“Is it possible to select cycle mode etc. (using top control panel) before closing door? The Hight might be just under the kitchen counter and if I close the door, I might not to reach that panel.”

Yes, you can select the cycle, etc with the door open, and once you press the "start" button you have 4 seconds (you'll see a timer that counts down) to close the door.
