“what is the stainless treated with to make it fingerprint resistant? I know there is a special coating applied, but does anyone specifically know what? many people with another model experienced rust issues, so I am nervous about finishes now. thank you!”

Sorry, I don't know what coating there is, but I do know it seems that we don't have nearly as many smudges as we did with our fancier model. Hope that helps.
