No this does not use the LG Linear. This is not an LG product and is actually better. The linear compressors dont last and you will loose food and money if you buy anything with the LG linear. Their claim to fame Is how quiet they are but when your food spoils and they won’t cover the repair over $1000 after only owing it one year you will want to choke someone. It happened to us 2 times In less than 30 months of owning a linear compressor $5000 LG fridge and never again The Whirlpool or Maytag brands are the best.
