• The Whirlpool - 3.5 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer needs 17" clearance between it and a cabinet for the door to open properly. You would need a space with a total height of 59" from the floor to the cabinet to install this correctly.

• OK, I measured with the lid open down to the floor and I got 52 inches. I sure hopes this helps.
