• No it will not without extension. You can raise the hood a few inches more, however; raising the fan hood itself too high will not look properly in line with cabinets.. Many people do not have them extend all the way. That is ok. Some will build a fancy cheap drywall box to blend in with a crown around the cabinets on each side and extending parallel across the sofit box.

• No, you have to buy extension pieces, the most it will go is about 10 feet. Our ceiling is only 8 feet so it is not a problem.
