A:AnswerHi TD, thank you for your inquiry. There a few different models that are compatible with this kit. If you have a model in mind, we would be happy to tell you if they are compatible,
A:AnswerNo it will not without extension. You can raise the hood a few inches more, however; raising the fan hood itself too high will not look properly in line with cabinets.. Many people do not have them extend all the way. That is ok. Some will build a fancy cheap drywall box to blend in with a crown around the cabinets on each side and extending parallel across the sofit box.
A:AnswerCan't tell you db noise levels, but I can tell you that you have to really listen for it on the low setting. Even the medium setting is pretty quiet. I checked out the air flow (blast?) before attaching the venting, and it really moves some air even on the lowest setting.
A:AnswerHi Brian, Depending on how one vented the Hood, then it is possible for the blower motor to be recirculating. For information on how to change the air direction, please go to http://www.whirlpool.com/digitalassets/MLPDF/Use%20and%20Care%20Guide%20-%20W10836364.pdf.
A:AnswerNo, it is not finger resistant. But unlike a fridge or dishwasher there is no need to touch the canopy or the chimney during the normal day to day use
so the finger resistant quality is not that important. It needs some cleaning around the knobs once in a while.
A:AnswerWiring is directly connected to hood at the top of the slope. So as long as it fits behind the cover and reaches the motor you should be fine. Keep in mind the big hole you need for the exhaust hose also.
