• Not sure what you mean. The burners have sensors built in and and will go on and off to maintain a specific temperature on your pan. Even if you have the burner set to max, eventually the pan should reach the desired temp and the burner will begin regulating.

• If the double side is turned on they both heat up. They are individually turned on.

• Yes they are. The reason they turn off is because they have reached high and it won't allow it to go higher then high. So it turns off to cool to a poo t to be able to hear back to high.
