The sides are grey and the stainless steel does not have a fingerprint resistant coating.

Sal, this model is not smudge proof. The sides of the cabinet are grey.

Definitely not smudge proof. My 1yr olds finger prints are all over the freezer. The sides are gray but not stainless steel

No the stainless is NOT smudge proof or finger print proof ............... but cleans up quickly with a damp cloth. The sides are gray. It's a very rich looking appliance!!! Very happy with it.

It's not smudge proof and the sides are the same as the front.
