“I have tried absolutely everything on the planet to get this door to open. This is THE WORST washing machine that I've ever had from the Whirlpool line,and I've had many. Please tell me ASAP how to get the door unlocked!”

I expect that by now you got it open in some way. However, if not, you just press the button with the Pause symbol (it's the same one you use to start) and hold it for a second or two, it will pause your wash and in another second make a click to show it's unlocked. Then the Start button blinks while it's unlocked, until you open it and close it and press start again.
