Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.height of washer with lid open is almost 56 inches tall. I have 5 inches of space between the washer and the wall for hoses and connections. The washer is 8 inches deep before it meets the lid. So you will need 13 inches depth from the wall to the washer lid to have clearance. My cabinets are 13 inches deep and the lid leans on the bottom of the cabinet. My cabinets are 54 inches from the floor so the lid leans on the cabinet but I don't have to hold the lid up. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The hight of the washer lid open is 55 1/2 inches. The depth of the washer from the back wall to the open lid is 14 1/2 inches. There are water connections and hoses which means that the washer does not sit right next to the back wall. Therefore 14 1/2 inches from the wall to the open lid is an easy way to check. My shelves are 56 inches heigh and about 12 inches deep. So the washer lid opens with the perfect amount of room .... no banging into the shelf.
