QuestionDoes the unit automatically restart after a power failure

- Answer The dehumidifier does have an 'auto-restart' function automatically restarts the unit when power is restored. Additionally, the Loss of Power Protection function remembers all settings when power is interrupted.

QuestionI can't get the pump feature to work. hooked up the enclosed hose as instructed. pushed the pump button on, it turned green. but the water wont drain out downward, much less pump up 16 feet. I just get a trickle and then the bucket fills up & it shuts off

- Answer When I hooked it up, I also found the pump did not work. It turns out the bucket has to be REALLY full before the pump actually pumps the water out; the float on the right side of the unit is very high up. I also set the humidity for 35. I do not empty the bucket. Dehumidifier works just fine. In my case, I keep the time frame on "continuous" to be sure it keeps pumping even if I'm away. Then it's necessary to clean the screen filter about every three days, but that just requires a quick rinse and it dries pretty fast. I've had it going for several weeks and am very happy with it.

- Answer The power cord is 6ft long. We do not have our unit connected to an extension cord so we can not answer that part of the question. The plug is three prong

QuestionMy unit only runs for a short time before shutting down. The unit show ES or E5. If I turn it off and on it may work for a few hours however not continuous during the hot hours

QuestionHow loud is it?? I don't see a dB rating. I bought an Insignia one, but it was too loud for me and I am looking for something quieter. Thank you!

- Answer Hi! Thank you so much for your question. The noise level for the High mode would be 53 and for the Low, it would be 49. The only available lower noise is the 20 Pint and 30 Pint and they don't have a built-in pump. Hope this helps! :) -Customer Service Team

QuestionSeems like mixed messages whether the bucket must fill up or not before the pump is activated..? I’ve had my unit running in the basement for 3 days, still no pumping. The bucket is only half-full, though the humidity is 47 and my setting at 35. Thoughts?

- Answer When you set it to pump, the removable bucket is not used to store water. The water collects before the bucket and triggers the pump when enough accumulates. Works like the pump for a central air conditioner except inside the dehumidifier cabinet.

QuestionDoes unit come with hose? If so what is size of hose?

- Answer The "hose" is really plastic tubing about 0.25" internal diameter. The dehumidifier comes with a roll of tubing about 10 feet long. Tubing must be pushed over a barbed hose fitting on the unit (fitting is connected to the unit, bypassing the internal condensate bucket).

- Answer Correct. Condensation is collected until it reaches an amount that triggers the drain pump to activate. A reservoir of water is needed to operate the pump safely.
