“These look like cast iron grates; how do you clean them??? I imagine that papertowels or even washcloths will leave residue all over the place. Can you use a steel or brass brush like you would on a outdoor grill?”

Hi Fizzle, per the Use&Care Guide we recommend using a nonabrasive plastic scrubbing pad and mildly abrasive cleanser:Clean as soon as cooktop, grates, and caps are cool. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!
