Sally, all appliances that we manufactured are approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission before they are sold for private home use. Ranges and ovens are no exception to this rule, and can become quite hot when in use. We always recommend taking care when using any appliance to avoid any possible burns, especially when children are around.
