The reason for this is, if 2 ovens are running at the same time it would take a very long time to cool down. The electronics inside the control panel need to cool down properly and if there is another unit right beside it also creating heat.

A:AnswerTomike, you can remove the burner knobs for this Whirlpool® Range for cleaning. Just pull the knobs straight away from the control panel to remove them. We would not recommend you put them in the Dishwasher. Please wash with soap and water. We hope this helps!

The bottom of my microwave is about 18 inches above the top of my range and the grates do not flip all the way up - need another inch or two. However, they lift high enough to clean (for me, anyway) underneath, and the grates also lift out completely.
