“New dryer delivered yesterday. Today while drying a load of towels and a bath mat the door kept opening mid cycle. It appeared this happened when the bath mat tumbled against it. Is this normal?”

It is possible if door is not closed tight and mat is very heavy and bulky or dryer is overloaded.
