“When opening the door, does it go up and then out, or does it pull straight out? We had a problem with another model where the whole front door has to go up first then out, thus making it impossible to fit under standard height countertop.”

Hi, you will need to lift and pull the handle or press the foot pedal to open the drawer. We hope this helps.
