QuestionDoes this stacking kit offset the washer and dryer at all? I.e. would you need additional depth outside of the depth of the washer and dryer units to use it? Specifically for the Maytag MHW5500FW and MED5500FW. Thanks.

- Answer CMC, If the stacking kit part numbers are the same for both the Washer and Dryer, you are able to stack them together. Model WFW7540 requires stacking kit part number is W10869845.

QuestionI contacted Maytag to order a new washer to pair with an older model Maytag dryer (stackable). I was informed that they would not complete the installation, it had to be two new appliances. I was told previously that stacking kit W10869845 could be used.
