“Can this be installed with a low ceiling? I would like to put this in my basement kitchen but it has a low ceiling of 6' 10 inches. It will be vented to the outside but I cannot raise the ceiling as it the basement and the main floor is just above the ceiling. Can I use this range hood in my basement kitchen?? Thanks, Catherine”

Hello, Catherine! We recommend that this vented hood be installed in an area with ceilings between 7'4" and 9'9" as the hood will need to be at least 24" above an electric cooking surface, and 27" above a gas cooking surface. Thank you for your interest in a Whirlpool vent hood!
