How many cords will the cover hold? null

Depends on the size of the cords. Easily five.

The cover is wide enough to easily hold several cables (including power cords. I currently have 3 power cords, one coax, and 5 HDMI cables running through mine with no issues. If it won't snap closed, then you have too many cables!

Will cover 7 to 8 standard size cords.

The following cables are at a 30% fill rate: Coax - RG58 - .195 Dia = 18 cables Coax - RG68 - .270 Dia = 9 cables USB - .180 Dia = 21 cables Display Port - .256 Dia = 10 cables HDMI - .250 Dia = 11 VGA - .325 Dia = 6 #14 AWG Power Cord - .375 Dia = 5 Bundled Flat Component Cable = Max 2-3 cables (full fill rate not reduced by 30%)

I can fit two HDMI cables, 1 tv power cord, and a component cable set.

4-5 thin wires maybe 3 if the like thick power cords

It is size dependent. Optic cables and HDMI and power cords vary in size. If I didn't have enough space in one, I'd get another and parallel them.
