I just got back from my local BestBuy. My collector's edition pre-order was waiting on the counter at the in-store pickup location. It would not check out on with the point of sale restricting to street date of the 14th. This despite that all other retailers got the message about going live today in a little under 2 hours. Thankfully Gamestop still had a collector's edition that I was able to get. I cancelled my Best Buy one. For an online game as huge as WoW, longtime players will not want to wait the 16+ hours for Best Buy doors to open on the 14th.

Longer answer: I opted for store pickup on two copies thinking I could get them first thing in the morning, but received an email today stating the items were no longer in stock. After waiting on hold for over 30 minutes, I was informed the Best Buy store I had selected during pre-order is closing end of this month, so my item never actually shipped to the store. Tried calling my other local Best Buy in hopes maybe they had spare copies, but no go. Ended up canceling my order. I've yet to have a good experience purchasing games on Best Buy's website, so for anyone reading this understand actually receiving your items on time (and apparently at all) is a gamble.
