“I'm confused is this a dash cam only for the front of the car I don't need the back camera”

• Hi there, The TWA-X500F750R is a rear camera. For front recording, please consider the TW-X500 or TW-F750. Please note that both of these models are compatible with the rear camera if you would like a dual channel system for front + rear coverage. Kind regards, Thinkware Customer Support
