Ok this is an easy answer, you are displaying two images on your Oculus rift, one for the right eye and one for the left and you can't change the resolution of the Oculus so I wouldn't necessarily go for an lower Ram 4gb or lower, I would seek something with at least 6gbytes of ram or better I was ok on my rx 480 8gig, but I would dig deep and go for an 570 8 gig or at least an 1060 6gb card.
