• A:Answer Hello Steve, This is what i bought this GPU for was for gaming on WOW. I have an older computer that still uses DDR3 memory and this GPU runs WOW settings on ultra without any issue. Double check your power supply though to make sure it supports the extra wattage. :)

Q: QuestionI just got this card for my sons pc. It has a third generation intel i5 processor. I believe it is a legacy bios and not uefc. Will this card work? The gentleman at Best Buy said it would but I saw a reviewer here say it doesn’t. Any advice on this?

• A:Answer If you have an i5 intel I would say that you would be safe purchasing this. Legacy BIOS is ok, I run legacy BIOS on mine works like a charm. Main thing is does the system support PCIExpress. If yes than this is for you and your son :)

Q: QuestionMy HP Pavilian p7-1517c PC has an AMD A10-5700 series processor with 12 GB of ram and presently has an AMD Radeon HD 7660D graphics card and I want to upgrade it . Will this card work in my machine or do I need to make other upgrades?

• A:Answer The card should work. It uses a PCI Express 3.0 interface which is backwards compatible with your system which has a PCI Express 2.0. I am using this card in an older system and the card is doing fine so far. If you go to google and type in "compare AMD Radeon HD 7660D and AMD Radeon RX560" and search you will see a link for gpu dot benchmarks dot com ... this will compare your two cards. This card blows the card in your machine out of the water. Be sure to download the latest drivers from AMD when you install the card.

• A:Answer As your computer seems to be fairly new, this should work just fine. As long as your Motherboard can use PCI type cards it will work. This GPU uses PCI 3.0 which is one of the more current stats for GPU's. It had enough memory to run WIN10 64bit as well. Good Luck!

• A:Answer OK - update. The guy at Best Buy was great - totally understood the problem and we discussed possible solutions. He suggested reinstalling the sound card driver (Realtec HD), which I did, and it didn't help. It turns out that the HP Pavilion Elite (410y) has a quirk that's documented - if there's an external (well, not embedded) sound card it will disable the embedded Realtec sound card. Period. And it seems the Radeon RX 560 graphics card kinda looks like a sound card to the motherboard firmware, since it's capable of driving audio over HDMI (and DP too). So, adding another sound card is in order, unless I can find a way to disable the sound card features on the graphics card. Googling for advice now...
