As long as you replace the card in that slot it should be fine.

The most important thing you need to understand is whether or not your power supply can handle it. The 3010 didn't have the power connector required so I needed to add the card AND a power supply. Your 8700 needs to have at least a 450W power supply and a spare 6 pin power connector in order to use this RX 560. The XPS 8700 was commonly sold with a 460W PSU that had support for GPU power, so it should work fine, but simply opening the case and looking will tell you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It should work fine GTX 645 is 75Watts. Radeon RX 560 is 65 Watts (but you do need a graphics card power lead to run this card). I am running this on a Dell Optiplex T1600 with no issues. Running one on Linux and the other on Windows 10.
