• If it is standard size case not low profile and has pci express and your power supply does a hundred 100 watts it will work most power supplies will work with that yes it needs one six pin connector

• Yes, have this card installed in my HP 280 g1 MT pc, and it does require external power. There is a version of this card that does not but the one best buy sells does. I upgraded my power supply to a Corsair CX650M and it fits perfectly in my HP 280 G1 microtower.
