A:Answer Many reasons such as the chip shortage affecting electronic parts prices and availability, cryptominers buying up all of the video cards, scalpers in turn re-sell at higher prices, supply and demand takes effect causing prices to rise on new cards available for purchase, inflation is hitting prices across the board on all goods and services.... I'm not saying that the price won't someday go back down, but I doubt we'll ever see prices as low as the msrp or less that everyone is so used to paying years ago until the supply far out-paces the demand.
