It does have the capability of two zones however it's not easily defined or as user-friendly as it's been on previous models.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. And this is a primary reason I got hooked on Yamaha a number of years ago. (You can even separately control zones with the smartphone app.) This one has a bit of a change that you will need to look out for... There are actually 2 sets of "Zone-2" connections on the back. There are 2 pre-amp RCA connections that would require a second amp, or 4 wire inserts for post-amp connection. Please note, if you set a second zone, you are limited to 7 + sub-woofer for your main room. (You lose the two from presence speakers.)
