QuestionCan I use my Onkyo - 7.1 Home Audio Speaker System Model: SKS-HT870 SKU: 3358535 on this Yamaha? Cause I saw the resistance requirements are different, onkyo is 6, but Yamaha is 8. Can I reset the Yamaha for 6?

- Answer I believe it is 6-8 ohm stable, no need to adjust any setting. It will actually make more power at 6 ohms.

QuestionI bought this receiver and have bought klipsch 1000 5.1 5 small one power sub and it turn off if to load any suggestions. I have good gauge wire in banana plugs I'm just a little fuss traded paying over $1000 for everything shutting off on me any help plz

- Answer It does have the capability of two zones however it's not easily defined or as user-friendly as it's been on previous models.

QuestionIf you have a 4k tv with bluetooth, can you utilize the bluetooth function of this receiver? I am curious because my current connections must go through the receiver using an hdmi connection. This setup would eliminate the smart tv function for sound.

- Answer You would be far better off getting an optical cable. Even if this would work (unlikely), it would require lots of remote control configuration every time you turned on the TV.

- Answer Most subwoofers are in their own box, with their own amplifier, so they can run from the line level signal provided from this receiver. Of course, you don't have to use a subwoofer if your main speakers provide enough bass.

QuestionDoes this model allow for hook up of an external multi CD player? Will it also allow for hook up of speakers in three different rooms with individual control?

- Answer A multi CD player should work fine. Some have HDMI ouputs and some have RCA connectors. Either should work. It has two zones that can work independently, or together in "party mode". There is also a Bluetooth output that can work from the main zone (I'm not sure of it can also work drone zone 2).

QuestionThe Specs say this has 60 frames per second pass through. My Samsung 8000 series tv has 120 (native). What is best way to connect Blue Ray or DVD player to avoid being limited to 60 frames per second? i.e. connect directly to tv and bypass the receiver ?

- Answer If your player and TV have special modes and enough inputs, it's best to connect them directly. You may have to find another path for the audio signal. Some players have a second HDMI and some use optical cables or other connections. You may also be able to connect the signal from the tv output to the receiver. Just make sure whatever path you take supports the best surround modes.

- Answer MusicCast speakers or amplifiers might be your best choice to connect multiple rooms (working through WiFi). Party Mode should set them all to the same source.

- Answer Short answer, yes. It connects to your LAN for music streaming with, bluetooth (from your phone or tablet) or the internet, spotify, pandora, etc. If you are talking about wireless surround sound, no. Those features typically come built in to certain surround sound systems itself. From what I've seen on surround sound systems that have this feature, it is only the rear (surround speakers) that are wireless. The fronts are still hard wired. Hope that helped.

- Answer If you're talking about tv and music in the same room (zone) it would be possible if you have your Zone 2 speakers in the same room as Zone 1. You would simply have to turn down Zone 1 ( e.g. the game audio) completely. Keep in mind a "zone" can only push one audio source at a time. Hope this helps.
