The TV would receive its video signal from only the Yamaha receiver from the receiver's single HDMI Out connection. The receiver's HDMI Out would be connected to, say, your TV's Input 1, and you set your TV to show Input 1. Conceivably, you would never need to change your TV's input again. When you wish to switch from, say, Cable TV to Blu-ray Disc (BD) player, you would only need to use the receiver's remote for this. The receiver will then send the video signal from the BD player to your TV screen. Hope that makes sense...
