QuestionI am using definitive speakers which I purchased through Beat Buy Magnolia----- 5 speakers 4-8ohms up to 150 watts max. ALso using a definitive sub woofer. Will this amp match up with my speakers. thanks

- Answer The Yamaha RX-V481 receiver has connections for 5 speakers (two front, two rear surround, one center) and one subwoofer (subwoofer should have built in amplifier.) The default output settings are 140 watts per channel at 8-ohms. (for 8-ohms and higher speakers) You can change the 8-ohms setting to 6-ohms in setup. With the information you have provided, this appears to be a good match.

QuestionBeen watching this for 2 or 3 months now. Price hasen't budged. Has anyone got or seen this on sale? Really like it and check weekly but frustrating it never goes on sale. Even $350 and I'd pull the trigger.

Questionis there a preamp out for speakers? I have 2 B&O speakers that have amps in each speaker Other surrounds speakers can be powered by receiver.

- Answer No, there is no pre-amp out other than for subwoofers. B&O speakers should be able to handle line-out input.

- Answer I don't think you can use anything but wired speakers for the 5.1. As far as the MusiCast speakers go, you can set up two to be a stereo pair.
