“I see this only supports 2 audio codecs, Dolby Atmos and DTS X. What happens if you are using an a Blu-ray or DVD that only has Dolby Digital or Dolby DTS? Does it sound like crap or does Dolby Atmos include those codecs as part of its system?”

The reciever will automatically adjust the sound to the amount of speakers that you tell it you have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It plays more than 2 audio codecs. Those are just the newest 2 so they advertise those at the forefront. This receiver will play Dobly Digital and Dobly DTS. It adjusts codecs depending on the source, still sounds great!
