“Will Yamaha RX-A2070 be sufficient to run Kef R 500 5.1 system? (Kef R500, Kef R200c and Kef R100 together with sub) .I am asking since those speakers are apparently quite demanding to run. Thanks”

i think you should be fine. but if your thinking about up grading to a 9.2 some day think twice ! the receiver will allow you to hook up all the necessary speakers needed but only has 9 built in amps to power up 11 speakers, i couldn`t get 1 pair to work at all. called yamaha and was told i should have bought the 3070 model instead which would have worked. good luck...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Yamaha Aventage 2070 will work just fine. Might be a very good match for KEFs. I believe they lean slightly towards a "warm" sound rather then bright. The R500's are an 8 ohm speakers at 88 db sensitively and the R200C is an 8 ohm center with 87 db sensitively. The Yamahas come out of the box set at 8 ohm so your good there. As do ALL others, with all channels driven the Yamaha drops significantly in power output but unless you have a large room you will be fine. Your KEFs are relatively efficient.
