• A:Answer Yes.... if the TV has an analog audio output or optical output, the Yamaha SR-C20 possesses other inputs in addition to the HDMI Arc input. I am currently using the soundbar with a 4K computer monitor with no audio outputs. I had to get an HDMI audio splitter, which takes an HDMI input, taps the audio to optical output, and passes the video through to the monitor. Most HD TVs will have an optical output you can use.

• A:Answer Through the WiFi feature, you can connect aCD player or even a turntable. If those devices don’t have built in WiFi transmitter, you will have to purchase one (which costs about $40-50. Then the device will transmit the signal through the WiFi. You may also need a preamp if it’s not included.

• A:Answer If Labeled as 100 watts RMS that is likely peak power therefore would have a steady state power of 50 watts RMS. This is plenty good sound if a smaller room like my 10x9 man cave. I go info our living room for the higher powered unit with 6' Sub. About 200w peak.

• A:Answer If your intent is to connect it to older bookshelf stereo then no, it does not support the inputs needed. If you are looking for a replacement to that bookshelf system and have a streaming music service then this would do nicely. It supports bluetooth and Apple AirPlay.

• A:Answer No, my comcast remote will not control soundbar. But the smart tv remote does control the soundbar when connected to the dedicated audio hdmi return port. So no issues.
