• Two AAA batteries are included, and go in the base of the thermometer housing. These batteries charge the thermometer when it is placed inside the dock.

• Flip over the case. On the bottom you will find a little “battery door” Open and pop out the old and put in the new.

• Charges off the base station. Had it for about 6 months now and havent had to change the batteries yet. Ive only used it for long cook times in the smoker (about 20)and once for the thanksgoving turkey.
