You won’t have to turn up your brightness for overall performance. You will have to turn up your brightness when you’re scanning codes/ barcodes. For example, at starbucks you’ll need to turn up your brightness in order for the barcode to scan your member ID. Most of the time iphone will do it automatically. However, if you are showing a pic to a friend you’ll want to turn up the brightness as you move the phone side to side it will turn dark. A lot of people have a hate/ love relationship with this. I think the screen protector is just doing what it says it will. I hope this was helpful. :)

However, that is not the main reason you should stay away from this product. As noted in my review, the glass produces a very fine distortion on the screen that makes the edges of text and fine lines blurry. The phone may have one of of the highest resolution displays in the world, but this privacy glass will throw that advantage right out the window.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been using the same brightness setting as I was before application. It did take me 5-10 minutes to get used to it though. Also, you can turn off True Tone if you feel you need to up the brightness but don’t want to.
