Yes you will need to remove it. They will send you a refurbished one more than likely. If you are careful in removing it and use wax paper to store it you might be able to get back on with some electronic liquid cleaner. Zagg warranty is painless. Just go registered now. Then file for a warranty replacement. It's about $5 -$7 to cover shipping. They send you a new one and you send them the damage protector. If you don't send them the damage protector, then you will pay MSRP .

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You shouldn't need to remove your protector when sending to Samsung, as long as the reason you are sending is not a screen issue. Anything battery related should be accessible through the back of the watch, so the protector would be fine to stay. I wouldn't recommend taking the protector off, then reapplying. This will affect the look of the protector, the stickiness of the protector, and may mess with the sensitivity of your screen.
