“New screen I paid to have my screen cover put on by best buy. It now has a tear in it, so can I take it in to best buy to have them place a new one on or do I have to go through Zagg directly? I was under the impression I could take it in to the store and they'd put a new one on for me at no charge if anything happened to my existing one.”

• It would be better to just send the product back to Zagg directly. That'll way you'll avoid all extras.

• Register the Zagg, send for a replacement, Best Buy should install the new Zagg without cost to you. You may be asked to verify the previous installation charge.

• I think if the tear had to do with it was installed, Best Buy will fix. Otherwise, I think you are out of luck.

• Best Buy does not cover the install of the shield after you leave the store. If there was a tear in it before you left, the manager would take care of it for you. When I had a problem years ago, they directed me to the zagg website, but that was years ago. The zagg website is the first place I go now because they are easy to deal with and there is a fast turnaround.

• BestBuy is pretty cool about replacing a Zagg screen protector as long as you paid the initial install fee. Also make sure you double, triple super secret clean your screen - one speck of dust causes a bubble! Good luck!

• mine ripped as well after a few years i went to the store and bought a new one and they installed it no charge. they also installed the ist one no charge as well.
