Very similar problem. Had my initial one for less than a month about March/April 2015 and the hidges separated. The hidges on the board appears a bit too tight and the opening not wide enough so not surprised a young person or anyone would come across this problem. Fortunately, I was able to return mine and received a new one (exchange was the only option). It's June 12th and so far, no problems but great fear that it will do the same if try to open it a bit wider for ease when not using as a keyboard but to play games, read or view online material. I have to tilt it often for ease or remove it entirely from the case but don't like to do that since I also use the case to protect my iPad Air2. I wish I would have read your comment first prior to spending so much money on this product. I would not have purchased it due to the hinge problem. Nevertheless, This is the only problem I have with this product. Otherwise, I like the way the keyboard is easily able to turn off and off. One other note, they should have a battery life indicator on the keyboard or at the very least allow it to charge at the same time of charging the iPad Air2.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. My case just broke as well. Pretty disappointing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine did the same, eleven months out with light to moderate use. I would definitely recommend buying the extended warranty!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The case is only designed to go just so many degrees back. Past that I could see it cracking but should be better than fine if used properly. Mine works great. Got it for Christmas. I've had a great experience with Zagg. I had other Zagg. They replace products for the most part with rarely a fix. I read the best buy refund policy. After a limited time, with no warranty they refer you to the company. I dropped mine and the hinges never separated.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Rather than writing a novel, I’ll just say I’m on my 5th Ruggged Book. Every replacement was due to the hinge breaking. It’s a very useful item when working, so why won’t Zagg step up and fix the hinge. As stated, I’m on my 5th, and it also has a broken hinge. Zagg knows there is a problem, but over the years has done nothing to fix it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had my case for 5 months before one hinge broke and recently the second one. Contacted Zagg at 1-800-700-9244 and received another on warranty. Just had to pay postage. Looks identical but hoping this one will not break.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would think that this is a fluke because I have had mine for just over a year and it is still like new. I am not gentle with it either. I have dropped it a few times (tho not intentionally). Zagg is pretty good about replacing damaged products. I hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had this problem. I have had my case for over a month.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.my case just failed at the hinge as well. Now waiting for warranty replacement from Zagg.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same problem, here. ZAGG says they will replace.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
