Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us. Externally vented range hoods are range hoods that need an external duct to expel air and contaminants. Additionally, the motor is installed to the base of the range hood itself, which is included and already installed with purchase. The difference between this externally vented range hood and a remote blower is that the range hood with a remote blower has the motor installed in an attic to reduce noise. Please let us know if you have any further questions that we can assist you with. Thank you!
