“How is the Zoom on this camera? How is it in low light (but not night time - just lower light). Thinking of using this for documenting ballroom dance events need a zoom but not sure if digital will do it for me...............”

It has a very small zoom, if you are across a room trying to get close ups it's not what you want.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Zoom and lighting settings work well. There are 4 zoom settings between wide-angle to normal. I've used the nighttime setting for fireworks and to capture acrobats in a fire show, to good end. The indoor settings adjust well for different types of artificial lighting. The only trouble I've had is trying to shoot Indoors in the shade with strong sunlight beaming in from outside--that's probably an issue for any typical digital camera.
