    Solid & Comfortable

I was in need of a quality headset with a mic for my newest addiction of Iracing, I have used this headset quite a bit and it has always been extremely comfortable which is usually not the case given my larger head size. I not only game for several hours but I work from home most days with an average of 2-3 meetings every single day so I typically find myself using this headset for at least 7-8 hours each day. It has enough battery life to last the entire day and usually several days. I've never actually gotten a "low battery" notice so I am not sure exactly how long they will last on a full charge. All of that is great but how they sound is probably the most important. I absolutelyhave been impressed with how these sound. They have good bass without being ridiculous and boomy like some gaming headphones and have fantastic directional sound for games and I have enjoyed the overall sound profile. Another great feature for me is the mic which I have recieved compliments on how clear it is. As I stated earlier I run quite a few meetings and my teams immediately noticed how much better I sounded once I started using this headset. It does well blocking out background noise while still ensuring I sound crisp & clear. For the price point I just don't see there being a better wireless headset option. To get something better you're going to be spending well over $200 and more than likely into the $350+ price point. My only complaint is the mute button, It's quite sensitive and it sits right next to the power button which you need to hold for a few seconds to turn on. This causes me to accidently mute myself when attempting to turn on the headset. Its a minor annoyance but I would have moved the mute button to the other ear or at least away from the power button. Overall this headset has been great, If you're looking for an affordable gaming headset that sounds great and has the battery life to run all day & longer then I absolutely recommend the Blackshark V2.

A headset that offers excellent spatial awareness!

I've had the privilege of being a BestBuy Tech Insider for the past year and a half and seen my fair share of tech gadgets (specifically, headphones). The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset stands out for its reliability and natural spatiality performance. Here’s a breakdown of my experience with it: Comfort: I wore these headphones for a two-hour gaming session without feeling any discomfort. The headband is designed to be roomy so they don’t squeeze your head. Also, the cushion material is breathable and lightweight which is great at preventing sweat and fatigue. They’re perfect for long sessions, whether you’re gaming or watching movies. Audio Quality: The sound quality is quiet impressive. It has bass but remains clear, without the muddiness or tininess that some headsets have. I tested them with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Gears 5. In Game mode, footsteps and environmental details were much more prominent, which added to the immersion. Movie mode, on the other hand, was incredible with Red Dead Redemption 2. The audio mix in that game is excellent, but with these headphones, it was a whole new level. I could hear birds, mud splashing, and bandoliers clinking with stunning clarity. I used the "Detailed" Dolby Atmos preset, which worked perfectly. However, I did try to see how DTS:X for Headphones would fare, but unfortunately, it didn’t show up on the app’s headphones preset list. Another standout feature is the seamless panning. Typically, if action transpires to the right of a playable character, the audio jumps to the left ears when turning to find your target. Many headphones that purport to be 7.1 surround sounds still present a stereo soundstage. When you move your camera 360 degrees in-game with the Razer Black Shark, the sound transitions smoothly from left to right. This is rare in most headphones and really impressed me Connectivity: Setting up Bluetooth was straightforward. I’ve been using the dongle to switch between PC and Xbox, and it works seamlessly. The various esports modes are handy, offering optimized settings for games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty (settings labeled as such). The microphone, although a bit large, is effective. I appreciated the lack of audio feedback, which can be distracting during live chats on Xbox. My only minor issue is with the dongle. I would have preferred a USB connection since the Xbox Series X doesn’t have a USB-C input. However, it works great with my gaming laptop. Battery Life: I've had them for a little over a week, and they have been holding up great without a single charge. To be fair, I have only had a total of 4 hours usage between gaming and movies. I do have more testing to do, so I will refrain from giving a comprehensive review on battery longevity. However as it stands, it's pretty satisfying. Overall, the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is a reliable and premium choice for gamers who need high-quality audio, excellent atmosphere and comfort for extended use. Highly recommend these!! 4.75/5

Great sound & comfort. My new go-to for gaming!

This is the first Razer product I’ve ever owned and I have to say that I’m really happy with it. Razer has impressed me with the BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset, and after using these for a week, I can confidently say they are going to be a “game-changer” for my gaming sessions. Allowing me to play longer, hear the game and anyone with whom I’m playing, better, and not feel discomfort after a few hours of gaming. These headphones have quickly become my favorite, not only for their sound quality but also for their comfort, features and design. Designed with long gaming sessions in mind, I’ve found the BlackShark V2 Pro to provide exceptional comfort for the few-hours-long gaming sessions I've had. I’m an adult male, with a large cranium, so there have been headphones that I’ve worn in the past that felt tight, especially after hours of using them, but not these. The memory foam ear cushions wrapped in a gentle clothlike material, with the well-padded headband allow me to wear them for hours without any discomfort. The headset is deceptively lightweight, IMO, which helps to maximize the amount of time you can comfortably wear them while gaming. The headphones do not rest very well around your neck, when not in use. They bump up against your jaw and you can’t wear them like that for more than a few minutes. That’s okay for me, because I can just set them down at home. But if I were on the plane, gaming with them, I would have limited space and would need to wear them around my neck. If the ear pieces rotated inward, that might make them even more comfortable than they already are. The sound quality of the BlackShark V2 Pro is high end, giving you what you paid for. With a rich, balanced sound, the bass is deep and punching when it needs to be, the mids are clear with crisp highs. Their are an array of customizable EQ profiles allowing for a tailored listening experience based on the content and what you select. The sharp and clear sound really helps to bring the story alive when listening to the NPC's tell their tales and hand out their quests. One of the standout features is the really long battery life. Razer says it should get up to 70 hours on a single charge, and while I haven't tested the full duration, the headset has lasted me several days without needing a recharge, and I’ve done at least 12 or so hours of gaming and some more time checking out and listening to other content using it on my phone, and other mobile devices. The battery life of this headphone makes it ideal for any gamer who plays hours-long tournaments, strategy games or any other endurance gaming sessions. They're also great for anyone who doesn't want to have to charge their headphones every other time they use them. The detachable and adjustable microphone feature made me smile. Thank you so much for making it detachable! And for making it the perfect size, and something that can be moved around to any position. To test it, I asked my husband to wear the headset in a different room while I sat downstairs. We played Fortnite together so I could get a sense of how it sounds to other players. The razer microphone sounds clear and vibrant with well-articulated voices, making communication with teammates seamless. One of the features is the Hyper Speed wireless technology that helps to ensure a low latency connection and virtually lag-free audio, which is essential for competitive gaming. The USB-C dongle makes it easy to connect to the Xbox and other USB devices like your smartphone. I connected it to my Android phone and it’s as simple as plugging the dongle in and turning the volume up.. It almost gives you a nostalgic feel of plugging in the old corded headphones. Additionally, the headset offers dual wireless connectivity options with 2.4 GHz RF and Bluetooth, adding to its versatility. The layout of the controls on the headset are well thought out and easy to use. The multi-purpose rotary control knob allows for easy adjustments for volume and game/chat balance. The additional controls for microphone muting, power, and EQ presets are conveniently placed and easy to use. I really like the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox! It’s a top-tier headset that excels in comfort, sound quality, and battery life. Now that I’m familiar with Razer products, and the quality they provide, I’ll be on the lookout for their brand going forward. I highly recommended these to any gamer.
