Excellent for gaming and productivity!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had originally purchased the blade 4k OLED base model and loved it, but that 60hz refresh rate killed it for me, so I returned it and picked the 2020 Razer Blade advanced 15 RTX 2080 Super and this machine is a beast!! It's excellent for playing games and its compact sleek design is perfect for school as well. However, I do miss that mercury white and that beautiful OLED panel, but ultimately I am beyond satisfied with my decision. I'm currently running Doom Eternal at 150-200 fps, Overwatch 150-200 fps, COD Warzone 130+ fps, and it just makes the overall feel and looks of games much better. The fans are great, they can get loud while gaming but it's not an overwhelming annoying loud, the RGB keyboard and trackpad are best in the biz lmo, screen resolution, and color is awesome, and the speakers I feel are pretty decent. Overall, this laptop is incredible and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end gaming device as well as a laptop for productivity.

Top of the class
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as laptops go, the 2020 Razer Blade 15 Advanced is definitely in the top of it's class. The biggest issue with ALL laptops is intel 10th generation CPUs. They are mostly rebranded 9th gen cpu's pushing higher voltages yeilding higher watts, higher temperatures and overall poor performance for being a step up from 9th gen. Razer is unique. Razer is the only manufacturer this year to produce one of the best coolers of any laptop I've ever worked with (which includes ASUS, MSI, Apple, Dell, Alienware, etc.). Razer chose to wrap their chassis around Intel's 8-core i7-10875H CPU (re-branded i9-9980h CPU with better clocks and higher voltages) instead of the i9-10980h/k. Even with a vapor chamber, Razer's cooling system was no match for the 10th gen i9 class mobile cpu's. Look at some MSI reviews of the gs-series with the 10th gen i9's (nicknamed fireball for all the thermal throttling). Long story short, the hardware was chosen appropriately, the cpu boosts past 5ghz as advertised, temperatures are elevated but considering the class of hardware and the form factor of the laptop, elevated temperatures should be expected. I experience no thermal related issues with the hardware and have been working and gaming on the laptop for the past 6 months everyday. The included 2080Super mobile max-q is powerful enough to play 4K games, although the FPS will be around 60 in moderate detailing. The biggest change that didn't get enough attention in my opinion were the changes Razer did to the ports. Now I can finally use my CalDigit TS3+ Thunderbolt dock which lets me connect a single cable to my laptop which offers 95w of charging, connects all my peripherals and video out to my exernal 4k monitor. This is a new feature I've begged Razer to add and they finally did (which was one of the only reasons last year I ran an MSI GS75 Stealth 9SG. Goodbye MSI and Hello Razer. No looking back.

Awesome performance e quality for Games!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I also have an Asus Zephyrus GA503. Both are excellent. Razer has a superior quality, the RTX 2080 Super is clearly superior to the RTX 3070 from Asus, however Asus has the processor (Ryzen) that is clearly superior to the Razer (i7). So for gaming this Razer excels. If I needed more processing power for some work, and I was going to play without demanding the best possible graphics, I would choose Asus. Now if I want the best graphics, and a little better quality, the Razer. I upgraded to 2x 16Gb 2933mhz of Ram, and changed the NVMe for another 2Tb Samsung Evo Plus. The laptop looks amazing!

Grate Laptop with RTX 2080 SUPER Max-Q
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was lucky enough to be able to purchase the Razer Blade 15 Advanced and the Razer Bade 17 Pro though both versions have the same specs besides the display resolution and size, the Razer 15 Advanced includes a 15.6''inch Full-HD(1920x1080) - 300Hz display while the Razer Blade 17 Pro has a 17''inch (4K) - 120Hz display, both versions are equipped with 16GB Dual-Channel (8GB x 2) DDR4-2933MHz, 1TB SSD (M.2NVMe), 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10875H 8 Core (2.3GHz/5.1GHz), NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER with Max-Q (8GB GDDR6 VRAM). The end result was I ended up returning the Razer Blade 17 Pro as an exchange for the Razer Blade 15 Advanced because it runs most if not all games at Full-HD/Ultra/High settings getting around 60-120 FPS while the Razer Blade 17 Pro performs (Okay or Badly) depending on the set Resolution scale and a video-games set graphical settings. Keep in mind if you plan on buying the Razer Blade 17 Pro it's not (recommended) playing new games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Star Wars Battle Front II at 4K resolution with graphical settings set to Ultra and Ray-Tracing turned on if so expect to get around 15-28 FPS. Now you can obviously lower a video-games graphical settings to High/Medium/Low at 4K without Ray-Tracing turned on but only except a small FPS boost of around 28-30 FPS or maybe slightly higher while the other solution is to lowering the native resolution to 2304x1440 or 1920x1080 but expect some icons and Images to look smaller and some video games may look somewhat blurry, this is because you would be lowering the recommended Native 4K resolution to a non-native resolution such as Full-HD 1920x1080p. So my best advice for most hard core gamers is to opt-out from buying the 3,699 dollar Razer Bladed 17 Pro laptop and buy the Razer Blade 15 Advanced or wait 6 to 10 years till Nvidia releases the next generation RTX 40 series Max-q graphics.

Great computer with some room for improvement
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 2020 Razer Blade 15 RTX 2080 Super is a great computer that is improved upon in several key area compared to it's predecessor. The inclusion of things like a larger right shift key, power over USB-C, and an 8 core prosesser are a much welcomed addition. The computer also performs quite well with a level of power on par with flagship desktop computer from only a years ago with the 2080 Super Max Q being on the level of a GTX 1080 Desktop card. The only place I think could be improved upon is the display. While it is very good there is some degree of backlight bleed that is noticeable when watching darker content but is by no means a deal breaker.

Solid gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using it as my primary gaming machine for the last month. 0 problems. Doesn't come with preinstalled bloat (with the exception of Razer's own software for RGB). Fans aren't too loud. 300mhz refresh is amazing. I've pumped up everything to highest levels gaming-wise, and since it's 1080p everything is silky smooth. Great machine. Only complaint would be that it's a finger print magnet. I really wish this version came in the white configuration.

Q: QuestionSo i've seen lots of different things. Is this or is it not EXACTLY what's advertised? The Razer Blade 15, with the I7-10875H, 2080 SUPER (mobile) NOT the 2080 SUPER (mobile Max-Q) because that's a HUGE difference. And it says its 300hz refresh rate???
Asked by Zach.

Q: QuestionWhy does Microsoft offer a 10% student discount and Razer offer a 15% student discount on this same item, yet Best Buy doesn't offer one at all?
Asked by Ollivander.
- A:Answer Razer can write-off their loss on hardware and microsoft can write-off their loss on software. Best Buy doesn't manufacture laptops nor produce software and can't sell for under their contracted price (through Razer & MS). Razer gets a leg up on the competition when they offer on-site sales and promotions. What Razer doesn't tell you is if you have issues with your hardware and are forced to return (RMA) you'll be without a device for a considerable amount of time. In Best Buy's case, you walk in with a broken device and walk out with a new replacement so long as you purchase the warranty.

Q: QuestionHi, im looking to purchase this computer and have done a crazy amount of research on it. I am very confused on why it just says blade 15.6 gaming laptop because isn't it the advanced version? Which version of the blade is this and what year? thank you
Asked by Randy.
- A:Answer This laptop is the one right here, the RB 15 2020 advanced model https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/Razer-Blade-15/RZ09-03305E43-R3U1 the 2080s or 2080 super is what differentiates this from the older versions. I think all RB 15s are technically 15.6" since they all have the same/similar screen sizes
