Good laptop worth a buy!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using this laptop for a couple days and I am thoroughly impressed. Every game I’ve thrown at it has preset itself to ultra settings with ray tracing. I was cautious buying a laptop since I’ve always built my own PCs, but with prices right now I had to buy a laptop and I do not regret it. The system runs well and I’ve never seen it dip below 60 FPS. The only issue I have with the laptop is the ungodly fan noise , I recommend buying a cooling pad so the loud fans don’t have to work as hard, I also recommend purchasing an external hard drive because the ssd in the laptop does not have a large capacity. Overall I think it was a good buy and I’ve already recommended it to others.

Luxury Razer Blade with 2070 SUPER Max-Q
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Blade Advanced (2020 Model) is truly a high quality laptop that can handle anything you throw at it. Not only is it a fast performing beast, but you also get a stunning 1080p display like no other. Overall this laptop is a bang for you buck 10/10.

Excellent Performance and Build Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the last ten years I have owned an Alienware and 2 MSI laptops. I shied away from the Razers due to the price. I was in the market for a new laptop and found the Razer 15 Advanced for $1799 here and I couldn’t resist. The Advanced is a different machine that the Base. The advanced has better speakers, Vapor Chamber cooling, and a 300 hz display. If you are looking at the base model, this review may not be for you. After 3 days of use I can say that the Razer is exceeding my initial expectations. The Razers WiFi, speakers, and display are all excellent. The speakers are in stereo and can realistically be used for some gaming with stereo separation. Simply the best speakers I’ve had on a gaming laptop for gaming and music. I have 400Mb internet and the Razers WiFi adapter is able to take advantage of every Mb based on yhe speed tests I’ve ran. The display is also top notch: I expected it to be smooth with a max 300 FPS. Where the display shines is in the vividness of colors and lack of light bleed. There is only one small area of light bleed. The 2070 MaxQ is a beast compared to the 1060 in my old laptop. The 1060 was a competent card. But, the 2070 allows me to run Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 smoothly with high settings and that’s no small task. The processor is an 8 core monster and quite honestly is well beyond what I need in this laptop. But I’ll take it and couple with this 2070 should be happy with this laptop for the next few years. The overall build quality of the Razer is bested only by my MacBook Pro. I carry two laptops because I am a Mac/Apple user and still enjoy my little MacBook for everyday tasks and work. Having said that, the Razer is the first gaming laptop I’ve owned that feels like a well built machine. It’s not all good with the Razer though, the fans are incredibly loud even when I’m not gaming. This is the biggest gripe I have with the Razer. The Razer Synapse fan control is minimal and have spent some time trying to quiet the fans when I’m not gaming. Nothing seems to consistently work. Honestly I can live with the fan noise as this machine is almost strictly my gaming machine and I don’t mind the noise when gaming. But know that If you buy the Advanced version with the vapor chamber cooler your Razer will sound like a jet taking off when gaming. The only other thing I would like to see are more options for screen refresh rate. Currently you can set 300/240/60. I like the 60hz option in case I’m battery doing work or surfing the web. But for gaming I don’t run anything that can utilize 240 hz, let alone 300. A 120 or 144 fps option would be nice, but this screen is excellent and it’s butter smooth at 240hz. Overall this machine is well built and an absolute monster of a laptop. If you can get this computer for $1799 do it. I’ve had the rest and feel like the Razer is the best.

Pricey, Portable High-Performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way first: this is indeed a very expensive laptop. Could you get comparable performance in a self-built desktop for much less? I'm sure you can. In my opinion, though, you're not just paying for the performance when shopping for a gaming laptop, you're paying for the portability and the package, and let me tell you: with Razer's 2020 Blade 15 Advanced Model, you get what you pay for. Out of the box the reason for this high price tag is evident very, very quickly; all those expensive, high-performance components advertised prominently by Razer are enclosed in a sleek single-block, precision-milled aluminum chassis, cool to the touch and providing a premium feel definitely not matched by the plastic often found on lower-grade Windows laptops. It is very comparable in build quality to the Macbook Pros circulating from Apple this year. The touch pad is large and satisfyingly responsive, though I prefer using a mouse. The keyboard is nice and clicky; I've heard complaints about the travel depth of the Blade's keyboard but I quickly adjusted from my old Dell and HP laptops and find it a joy to type on. The beautiful RGB Chroma for the per-key lighting, enabled in the onboard Razer Synapse 3 software, looks gorgeous, and offers more customization options than I'll ever be able to figure out. The slim size of the laptop is shocking; my old laptops, despite having the same screen real estate, look like veritable bricks compared to the Blade, with its slim bezels and small footprint. You're spoiled for choice with ports, too: three zippy USB 3.2 Gen-2 Type-A ports with great transfer speeds, one latest-gen UHS-III SD card reader, an HDMI 2.0b port, two USB-C 3.2 Gen-2 ports (one Thunderbolt 3-capable) able to power the laptop, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Even the charging cord speaks to the quality of the product, with a thick, wear-and-tear-resistant woven braid cord providing the power this machine needs (side note: battery life is highly dependent on your settings; to maximize it requires a lot of customization). The speakers are quite good for a laptop! They get louder than I'll ever set them to, and the audio is clear, with decently punchy bass and distinct mid and high ranges. I love the 300Hz screen; I didn't even know refresh rates got this fast, but its blistering refresh rate makes games buttery-smooth and leaves absolutely no screen tearing. I personally prefer this 1080p, high-refresh screen to the lower-refresh, 4K OLED models for gaming, but for the creators out there those options are available. The onboard video camera is... decent. 720p is sad in 2020, but it's also rather-disappointingly par for the course with most laptops on the market. The infrared camera works brilliantly for Windows Hello, though; I'm still surprised by how fast I'm logged in. If you'll be doing serious teleconferencing, I recommend a headset with a mic over the built-in one, but if you're only talking with friends on Zoom, the integrated one should suffice. The performance of the laptop once you really dive in and start to use it has blown me away (a low bar considering the inexpensive laptops I'm used to, but still). The Intel 10-Gen i7 processor is great. While AMD's options this year certainly improved more over last year's models than Intel's CPUs, this i7-10875H still isn't a slacker, newly-upgraded to 8 cores and capable of handling intensive tasks quite well (Adobe programs run like a dream, a nice change of pace with how poorly Windows normally runs Adobe products relative to Macs). The NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super Max-Q graphics card provides just about all the frames I could want in gaming. Games run great at high graphics settings; I reach an average of about 100 FPS in Battlefield 1 at the "high" preset, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order reaches about the same on "high" too, with max frames for the latter sometimes reaching the in-game cap of 144 FPS. The 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM is more than enough for my needs (at last, I can open more than five Chrome tabs!), and for memory-heavy games you can download Razer's Cortex software, with optimizes your RAM and diverts it to the game you're playing at the moment. Booting on the SSD is incredibly fast, with programs opening quite responsively, though it is worth looking into upgrading the storage size from the 512GB included (Razer makes it easy to upgrade both RAM and storage, you can look up tutorials on YouTube). I couldn't ask for much better performance than the Blade provides; you can look up professional reviewers for better benchmarks on speed (I'm just a college student here happy with a product). TL;DR: The Razer Blade 15 2020 Advanced Model is pricey, but you get what you pay for in both performance and the package. If you can afford it and you need a high-powered computer, this is well worth the splurge.

Good laptop but not the greatest value
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.if you want a laptop with the best spec possible for the price, this isn't it. But if you want a good gaming laptop, but with great build quality and design, rival to the Macbook, then this is it, albeit its high price. - The design is beautiful, and doesn't scream gaming laptop. But it's a fingerprint magnet - The screen has good color accuracy, bright enough for a gaming laptop (but not enough if you're using it outdoor), high refresh rate, although 300Hz is way too overkill and your games will probably never reach it. - Speaker is a bit disappointing. Bass is almost non-existent. - Keyboard has good layout, minimalist font, great RGB. It's a bit shallow to type on, but I don't hate it. - Trackpad is large, smooth, good tactility. One of the best trackpad for windows laptop. - Temperature is hot when under load, fan noise is quite loud, but it has a high pitch so it could be annoying. I would say this is one of the best looking gaming laptops on the market, hands down. But you're sacrificing power for build quality, and with a high price too.

Perfect laptop, high price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing laptop. I ended up returning my Base 15 for the Advanced. Pros - Vapor chamber cooling in this laptop is a step up from the Base models cooling. This laptop is dead silent during normal operation. The fans kick on when gaming but for the size of this laptop they are pretty quiet. Similar to the Base model, you can game and have a conversation with someone in the room without the fan noise being overpowering. The 2070 Super is great. Black Desert in Remastered settings, High textures I hover around 90-100 fps. Breakpoint max settings 160fps, World of tanks ultra settings - 180fps I prefer the eye candy over the fps but I'm sure if you turned settings down you would be able to hit the 300Hz of the screen. With that said, the screen is very nice. I can use this laptop all day, both work and play, and my eyes do not get irritated. The keyboard is top notch. I love the per key coloring. Trackpad IMO razer is the best out there. Doesn't matter which blade, they are all amazing. Battery life....put the performance settings on "better battery" and you will get around 6-7 hours browsing or watching a movie. I didn't even try gaming on battery...seemed pointless. 2.5 complaints - 1. WHY WOULD YOU REMOVE A NIC PORT FOR A SD SLOT??? Stupid. 2. Only room for one internal drive. Shipping with a 512 m.2, you will definitely be upgrading. I went the route of USB-C m.2 drive. It annoying to carry the extra drive around but I didnt feel like reloading the OS....at least not when its running perfect. The .5 is for the power brick. The cord is stupid stiff and you have to slap it around to get the right bend when plugging it in. Always feels like its putting a good amount of pressure on the part that plugs into the laptop. OVERALL tho....best laptop I've owned. The price new is silly but open box its a steal.
