      Sounds Good...but

If you are buying this for a aware that it turns itself off after 3 minutes of no sound. So if you are surfing the net, read an article that takes more than 3 minutes, then try to watch a video, the video plays with no sound. You have to physically push the power button for the sound to return. This has hurt my productivity. To make matter worse, I tried contacting RAZER support...exchanged emails for 8 days. At first, I was told to tryt a different USB port...there is not a USB connection from this device. After I sent a link to the exact product, I was troubleshooting it. Support finally sent me a RMA to return the defective product. I went to the RAZER website and found that the issue is normal, every single one of them power off, and there is not a way to bypass it. RAZER support was going to have me return a product for doing what they built it to do...not very promising. Again, not very effective for a desktop PC speaker system. I can tell you it did fit nicely under my monitor and when it plays it sounds good, but that doesn't matter when you have to turn it on every 3 minutes to hear. To make matter worse, after I hooked it up the first time and played music, I tossed the original packaging, so returning it is not an option.

      Blind bought and pleasantly surprised

I bought this incidentally looking for a 2.1 speaker system. The system I was looking for was sold out and I've came across this product, which was more expensive but what really caught my eye besides the Dolby certificates was the subwoofer because I am a guilty bass head. I bought this being my first sound bar and I am happy with it, it's easy to hook up and use and the sound quality is great especially the bass. It comes with a optical cord so I can plug it into my gaming counsel, it has easy Bluetooth capabilities so I can connect my phone and listen to music. It comes with a AUX cord so I can plug additional devises into the sound bar. It's a very good system, but it's not perfect; it has only three sound equalizers for music, movie and game, you can't control the subwoofer levels as you want( if you wanted it up more or down less), it turns off automatically after some odd minutes it's a nit pick, sure. But a main con about this system is the lack of a controller; you have to turn the power on/off, turn volume up/down, change equalizers, turn Dolby effect on/off and change sound outlets ALL on the actual sound bar which is annoying... It's okay, you can laugh at my basic first world problem about the product. But overall I am very pleased with this system, just wished it had a remote or it can be controlled by my phone.

      Excellent speakers for PC

      • My Best Buy® Elite MemberElite Member

When reading the reviews for this I was skeptical about dropping this much money for PC speakers given the other options out there. Part of the reason was that there are reviews that brought down the overall user ratings because people were using these for the TVs, not for their intended use as PC speakers. If you are looking for great sounding, loud, clear PC speakers with Bluetooth capability, look no further. If you are looking for a sound bar set up for your TV, I'll state the obvious here: GET SPEAKERS DESIGNED FOR USE WITH TVs INSTEAD OF PCs. These speakers are incredible for a PC set up. They're loud, clear, easy to set up and use. I've used them for both gaming and music and have been nothing short of amazed by the sound quality and overall build quality. The bass is NOT AT ALL too loud and the lack of volume/gain adjustment for the subwoofer itself isn't at all an issue because it is adjusted perfectly and reacts dynamically to all 3 EQ presets accordingly. If you're gaming, use the gaming preset, listening to music, use the music preset and for movies, there's a preset for that as well. All 3 work amazingly well and I've found no need for any further fiddling with the sound beyond that. I consider myself an audiophile and have a couple decades worth of experience with different sound applications ranging from full home audio, car audio and PC audio. Even without a sound card in my gaming PC, these speakers are nothing short of impressive and well worth the money.

The grill is a scratch magnet, but overall, good!

Considering that a tiny Beats Pill is the same price as the Leviathan, you really can't go wrong about the price. Pros: Bass heavy. If you love bass heavy audio, this is for you. It's NOT really 5.1 surround (or 7.1 surround). If Razer seems to defy the law of physics, there's no real way to have true 'surround' sound if all the speakers are facing one direction. Cons: NO custom equalizer settings. You have 3 presets and that's it! There's no way to turn down the bass more (this is a really bass heavy sound system). Razer Synapse can't be used because it doesn't recognize the soundbar because it's connected by an aux cable or optical cable. The grill is a scratch magnet. It's the same grill that's used on the Beats Pill. No matter how careful you are, any tiny ding or scratch is apparent. And if you press pause to grab a bite to eat or take a little break, the soundbar will turn itself off (20 min. by default). So far, I have not figured out how to disable this. Overall: Amazingly enough, this is a pretty decent sound bar. The size is small (kinda like a mid-size Beats Pill) but the subwoofer puts the icing on the cake. It packs a good punch. It probably won't replace a decent surround sound system for your overall living room, but if you're a PC gamer or play consoles in a small room, this is pretty darn good.

      Overpriced, underfeatured.

THE GOOD: Extremely loud bass. That's about it. THE BAD: No remote; menu setup on unit is obtuse, forcing you to press multiple buttons for simple actions; Compatibility issues with my smart T.V. and two PCs; Comes w. low-quality cables, and unit itself feels like it's made of flimsy plastic; 5.1 emulation is horrible and results in muffled, sludgy-sounding playback with no discernible directional effect; Stereo playback is on-par with standard T.V. speaker quality; Unit's max volume is way too low; hooking up to older 5.1/7.1 systems is only possible through a mono-cable connection (i.e. headphone/microphone jack). I regret choosing this as a last-minute BDay present. I've dealt with Razer's low-quality products before, so I'm not sure why I was expecting anything else but overpriced, underpowered and faulty gaming hardware. Returned and lesson learned. DO NOT buy this hunk of junk. Get a real sound bar for your media setup.

For its compact size, the soundbar features fantastic sound, with unbelievable bass. Be sure to check the documentation online for how to adjust the default settings, since at first you may not get the bass/treble mix you would like. My only other complaint about the unit is that when using the optical fibre connection, there is about a half-second delay before the unit "wakes up" and begins playback of audio. If there is a constant stream of audio coming to the unit, there is no delay, however if there is silence, the first sound made will have the first half second or so cut off. I did not experience this issue when connected using 3.5mm headphone jacks. Overall was not worth returning the unit, which works great for my purposes (general music/movie/gaming)

Best Purchase I have made for my computer

I have looked at the Leviathon speaker system for quite a while and then when it was on sale during the holidays I purchased it. All I can say is BUY IT! This has incredible sound and makes your gaming, music and video experience AWESOME on your computer. It is not made to be used as a sound bar for your TV in your family room so don't buy it to use for that. It does not have a remote, but all the controls are within easy reach and you can easily control the volume through your computer. The bass is incredible and the dolby surround mode really envelops you in sound while you are gaming or watching a movie. The build quality is first rate. This is one of the best values in computer accessories and I highly recommend buying it!

I like razor but I'm not a huge fan of this product, not totally bad but not what I wanted. I bought these and used them for about a week and then returned them. I use a 47" TV as a monitor and I was hoping this sound bar would give a little more definition between the channels. This set up made it harder to hear the channels compared to the TV itself, was not made for a TV of that size or for use of the distance to the TV from my seating position (about 5 feet), as this also kills the definition between the channels. I'll be honest here, for the money you'll spend on these speakers, unless you want the name of Razor, these are just too much to justify the cost. There are speakers, at best buy no less, that will sound better, and impress you, much more and for far cheaper.
